All of our brooms are hand made here on the farm in Springfield, Oregon. We
grow a limited amount of our own broomcorn and encourage everyone to plant this easy-to-grow beauty in their home garden! (See our how-to section on growing broomcorn).
And in order to share the practical and beautiful art of broom making to everybody who wants to learn, and to fulfill all of our orders, we purchase broomcorn as well.
Our broom handles are sustainably selected, harvested and collected, mostly here on the farm. Then cured, cleaned, sometimes sanded & lightly oiled with walnut, then drilled and readied for broom making.
A cobweb broom is a wonderful tool for sweeping high corners and tight spaces, on either side of the refrigerator, around the leaves of houseplants, and for touch ups in between vacuuming's. Variety of lengths, colors, and handle styles. Offered from $45-65

May 1-June 1 As early as possible in our area. Cover with remay or birds will eat. Consider raising starts to transplant..... weed early on for best results. Requires good fertilization for biggest brush.
90 days. Table for best results. Best brush is before seeds fully mature.
Metal curry comb. Best to thresh seed right out of field before stalks have dried...lose less fiber that way.
